The Catification Lady: Designing Your Cat Superhighway - The Right and Left of it all
One crazy cat lady explores the depths
of Cat Behavior, Catification, and Environment Enrichment
When putting together your kitty
superhighway, you'll want to make sure there's flow to the design and
that you're directing your cats the way that works for your décor.
Adding a stair or a couple shelves in the right place can steer your
cats away from fragile items, those wall-mounted TVs and people
Our cat furniture is unique in that you
can get your pieces right or left facing. Our pieces are especially
made to help you create the best flow for you feline's superhighway.
But we get asked often the difference between the Left and Right
When you envision your piece on the
wall, start at the bottom and imagine the piece going up and to the
Left or Right. The direction the top step faces in makes it a Right
or Left piece. Here's a Stair facing Left and Right so you can see
Here's another view of a Left and Right
Beyond our Stairs, we make a number of
other pieces that face Left or Right, including our Alexa Corner Cat
Tree, our Purrsilla Cat Tree, our Double Cat Shelf, and our Corner
Cat Stair. Here's a look at a Left and Right Corner Cat Stair.
Below is an awesome Kitty Superhighway from Kat that makes good use of the Right and Left of it all.
Kat's design starts off with a Right Facing 3-Step Cat Stair, which offers the kitty two options. It can go towards the Tunnel and then onto the Cat Shelf, or it can reverse direction and up a Left Facing 3-Step Cat Stair onto the Right Facing Double Cat Shelf. The cat can then hang out there, as it is in this picture, or jump down onto the stairs and go on its way.
Since all our items are custom made,
call if there's any confusion on the Right or Left Facing option. We
want to make sure you get the right orientation to catify your home
in a way that will work best for you and your cat.
